Leap & Hop Sri Lanka

Leap & Hop Sri Lanka offers a new way of traveling as a family.  The children are engaged with games and activities as they share the adults' discovery of the Sri Lankan culture. The book is divided into two parts. The first half contains an introduction to Sri Lanka - its history, geography, religion, currency, and food, among others.  The second half focuses on Sri Lanka’s main heritage sites in the Cultural Triangle: Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya and Kandy.
Children will play I-Spy with dagobas in Anuradhapura, sample typical Sri Lankan food, learn how to draw a sitting Buddha, and discover how tea is produced, among other fun activities.
Leap & Hop provides an ideal way for parents to stick to a grown-up itinerary with a focus on cultural sites while sharing an unforgettable experience with their children.

Perfect Travel Momento

These books were such a great additional to our family holiday in Sri Lanka. The kids (6 & 8) were so much more engaged when we visited various historical and cultural sights and the activities were varied and provided just enough information for them to absorb. They also make great keepsakes and reminders of a wonderful family holiday. It was definitely worth getting them one each so they could both be occupied at the same time. We loved these books so much that we've since purchased others to keep them entertained on an upcoming family trip to India.

superb sidekick on our trip!

We parents and our daughters LOVED having the Sri Lanka books on our trip. The books are a perfect mix of current and historical facts balanced with creativity and fun games. We kept the books handy at meals, where not only did they keep our girls (who are 6 and 8) occupied but the books also sparked conversation and we learned so much while having fun. The books provided a simple, meaningful structure to our trip and it was interesting to read about places we weren't able to fit into our itinerary. Our girls are so proud of their books and we have looked at them several times since returning home. I have recommended these books far and wide and can't wait for more!

Fantastic book for the young travellers

This was our first kids' guidebook and won't definitely be the last. My 7 year old was keen to read the guidebook already at home - helping us to talk about Sri Lanka before the trip. Although we didn't travel to all the destinations mentioned in the book, it didn't matter since it has enough general information on the country. We loved the practical take on currency, food etc. and the kids loved the quiz. It manages to catch the details of the destination in a way that child looks at the world, like the meaning behind the way Buddha's hands are pictured. I warmly recommend it to anyone traveling to Sri Lanka with kids, it helps in making the kids active members of the party rather than just tagging along and following the adults making the decisions.

Best item to put in the kids's bag

For our trip in Sri Lanka, I got a couple of Leap&Hop guides for my 2 kids (9 and 7 years old). This was the best item I packed in their bags. The books kept the kids busy and engaged during our various visits. Even after a long day of visits, back to the hotel, they would carry on filling their little book with draws and playing the various games.
The book is very well done, it's fun, it's smart and it's a good size. As a parent, I went through the book a few times and really enjoyed it too!

Colorful and fun, just like Sri Lanka!

I bought this book as a gift for my children before our family holiday to Sri Lanka. It has some great activities that they could do before we arrived, which got them very excited about our holiday. It also has some lovely interactive activities to do on car rides, or at the sites. Such a great idea to have travel guides geared toward kids. It makes a holiday much more engaging for all.
