Leap & Hop Cambodia (2nd ed.)

With this new edition of our classic Leap & Hop Cambodia, the kids will be the ones holding you back in the temples.

It's all about making those temple visits worth their time.  Leap & Hop Cambodia invites the children to play a giant I-Spy game along the galeries of Angkor Wat or to go on a Treasure Hunt in Bayon.  Kids will also learn about Cambodia's rich and tragic history, its typical dishes and fruits as well as the difference between an apsara and a devata.  For families looking for experiences off-the beaten path, you will find activities for a special visit to Banteay Chhmar.

Let your kids loose in the temples with Leap & Hop and they will surprise you with their knowledge of the Khmer mythical creatures covering the temples.

For parents, this book will help stick to a grown-up itinerary with a focus on cultural sites while sharing an unforgettable experience with their children.

Inedspensible

I bought this for my son, who was only 2 1/2 when we did our trip to Angkor. My husband and I had gone over 10 years previously and suspected it would be a good family destination - and it was! I read through this book with Henry a couple of months before we went. It was in his rotation of night time reading books. It was perfect bc by the time we got there, he knew what food he wanted to try - yes, tarantulas - he could recognise Shiva from budda from apsaras, and was really excited about seeing the temples, and pointing out every narga and Garuda. Inedspensible at any age if you want to help you kids engage in the more cultural aspects of a trip to somewhere like Cambodia. Henry still likes to pull out the book to remind him of his trip.

Sabrina, thank you for the review, we are so happy to hear how much Henry enjoyed the book. He is turning out to be quite the expert on Khmer art

Helpful & entertaining

We used the Cambodia guide during our trip to Siem Reap. It was particularly useful & entertaining when we visited Angkor Wat & Ta Prohm which could have been overwhelming (and a bit boring....) for our 5 & 7 year olds. They also loved the activities creating their own country & learned some interesting things about Cambodia. I recommend this guide & will definitely consider purchasing other city guides in the future.

Smart and playful !

A very nice way to keep the children busy whilst commuting to the different touristic places ! Educational (even for adults!), playful and nicely illustrated, the guide provides a good balance of cultural tips, daily life inputs and games. Leap&Hop Cambodia was experienced and approved by my 8 years old daughter (as well as the Sri Lanka edition one year before). Looking forward to seeing Paris and Singapore editions !
